Comparison of TPE sex dolls and silicone dolls

TPE stands for thermoplastic elastomer, although it is sometimes called thermoplastic rubber. The reason for adding "rubber" is because synthetic rubber is mixed into plastic to make it stickier and softer - this is great for creating realistic skin on sex dolls, bouncy breasts, wobbly butts and all the good stuff you can create .

Silicones are thermoset polymers, so unlike TPE thermoplastics, they cool to a harder state. While some softness and some flexibility can be achieved, it's never quite as soft as the best TPEs. Silicone is not as easy to manufacture and shape as TPE. It requires vulcanization and is harder to work with, which means the overall cost of silicone is higher.

TPE:

Softer and more

Flexible means love dolls are more flexible

Good thermal conductivity, which means the love doll can warm up to your body temperature better, which is great for cuddling in bed - but TPE is sensitive to overheating (be careful with curling irons!) Hypoallergenic raw material (uses synthetic rubber

TPE is less likely to cause an allergic reaction when used and if latex is not used) Easy

Contamination does not contain

Talc powder, soft touch

Porous material (this is what causes staining) this means that if there is no

Properly maintained and sanitized, mold can thrive.

Silica gel:

Can have more detailed and realistic features

Not as sensitive to overheating as TPE

Sterilization is easier due to the low porosity of the polymer

Antifouling Low

More expensive to maintain hypoallergenic

Sticky silicone Not as soft as TPE Unrealistic wiggle. Usually no linguistic features (but not always)
